Product Overview

Freud Mortising Bits are designed to produce splinter-free mortises in plywood, veneer, solid wood, and nearly any composite material. Most of these bits have a down shear pattern, which pushes wood fibers down during the cut, reducing splintering. Mortising hinges and hardware, as well as cutting grooves and dadoes, are all possible with this tool. The deep center gullets on these bits allow for optimum material removal without chip loading. Any CNC or portable router can be used.
